some of you – i’ll call you regulars, though there are likely few of you – may be thinking, “whoa! where am i? what’s up with that awesome milk carton?”
you may be wondering if you typed in the right domain into the web browser or clicked the right link on facebook or twitter. worry not! for this is the same fledgling blog you’ve come to enjoy over the past four months – just sans the dark, dark blue and oddly complementary orange colors.
yep, the daily gallen has received a new coat of paint – a facelift, if you will – and today’s the debutante ball. (ok, i think i’ve mixed enough metaphors for one sentence.)
if you can’t tell, i am excited. though i had no inherent disdain for the daily gallen’s previous look, the new one feels fresher, funner and, let’s be honest, easier to flippin’ read. my deepest thanks to the amazing darrell vesterfelt for my blog’s shiny new look.
granted, the look of any website is only screen deep. what truly keeps people coming back is the content. and i admit, i’ve been extremely flaky and inconsistent with posting for the past two months or so. truth is, i’ve been dealing with some personal stuff and unfortunately my writing ended up falling by the wayside.
but no more!
today, in honor of the fresh, fun new look of the daily gallen, i am rededicating myself to sticking to my promise and pursuing my passion – and posting six days a week.
if you enjoy the words i throw out here, thanks. if not, that’s ok. no harm done and i’ll still be your friend, if you want. regardless, i’ll be writing.
because i’m a writer. it’s sorta what we do.
